Students in Pakistan now have more time to apply for free computers through the Prime Minister's Youth Laptop Scheme (PMYLS) 2025, as the application deadline has been extended to June 1, 2025.

📚 Overview of the PMYLS 2025

The Prime Minister's Youth Program's main program, PMYLS, is to provide 100,000 computers to deserving students attending public colleges and degree-granting establishments.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

In order to qualify for the program, candidates need to: be presently enrolled in Master's, Bachelor's, MS/MPhil, or PhD programs at accredited public universities. possess a CGPA of at least 2.80, or 60%. Results from the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) should be turned in by first-year undergraduate students. Transcripts of prior degrees are required of MS/PhD students during their first semester. The program is only available to enrolled students; graduates are not eligible to receive benefits.

Quota Distribution

Certain quotas are included in the plan to guarantee fair distribution: Baloch students are the only ones who have access to 18% of the laptops. 5% of students enrolled in distant learning will be split evenly between Allama Iqbal Open University and the Virtual University.

There will be a 15-day window for candidates to voice concerns following the publication of the provisional merit list. Once any issues have been resolved, the final merit list will be made public.
